Privacy Policy

• Health metrics you enter — the 8 inputs used by the calculator (e.g. steps, fiber, sleep, blood pressure, grip, HbA1c) and your age and sex.
• Account information — if you choose to sign in, your email address and authentication details (or the basic profile info provided by Google, X, or Facebook if you use one of those sign-in options), handled via Supabase.
• Usage analytics — standard web analytics such as pages viewed, referring source, device/browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address, used to understand how the Service is used and to improve it.

If you use the calculator without signing in, the health metrics you enter are processed in your browser to compute your score and are not stored on our servers. They exist only for your current session (e.g. encoded in the page URL or held in local browser state) and are not retained by us once you close or navigate away, except as needed to generate a shareable report link you explicitly create.

• To calculate and display your score, percentile, and personalized suggestions.
• To save and let you track your results over time, if you have an account.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
• To communicate with you about your account or material changes to our terms or policies.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We use a limited set of third-party service providers ("processors") to operate the Service, and share only the data each needs to perform its function:

• Supabase — authentication and storage of account data and saved results, for users who sign in.

We use essential cookies or local storage required for core functionality (e.g. keeping you signed in) and may use analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage of the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect sign-in and saved-result features.

Account data and saved results are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your account data and saved results within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal or accounting purposes. Health metrics entered without an account are not retained as described in Section 2.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, export, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@markerscore.com. If you have an account, you can also delete your saved results directly from your account settings. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law.

The Service is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@markerscore.com and we will take steps to delete it.

Our service providers may process and store data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses used by our processors) to protect data transferred internationally.

MarkerScore is a direct-to-consumer educational tool. We are not a "covered entity" or "business associate" under the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the health metrics you enter into the calculator are not Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
